Pankhuri Dayal, 17, is a Grade 11 student at Milton Academy. She grew up in Hong Kong, where she has been working with underprivileged communities, especially migrant and minorities, at a grassroot level for 5 years now. She worked with disadvantaged children from local schools to improve their English language skills and confidence in spoken English. Additionally, she fundraised for Kids4Kids, a youth organisation aimed at literacy development and empowering the next generation to help them break their families out of the poverty cycle. In Boston, she has continued her work by teaching coding to the young residents of Refuge Centre for women and their children fleeing abuse and homelessness.
